About Irene & Moses

Moses Williams and Irene Martens are Latin dance enthusiasts.  Partners for over two years now, they have competed in multiple competitions all over the U.S, from Miami to New York.  Moses has been dancing International Latin for 7 years.  He began on the SMU Ballroom Team, where he eventually served as Captain, and is now onto training with excelled professionals.  Irene began dancing at Sudio 22 in Dallas shortly before she started her partnership with Moses.  She has been in love with dance since she can remember, but it was Latin dance that swept her off her feet and into some heels.

Together through their partnership, they dream to bring innovation to the dance world, all the while inspiring others through movement.  As they continue their journey to the top, this couple would love nothing more than to share their passion with others through performance and teaching.

What is Intrinsic Movement?

Intrinsic:  Belonging naturally; essential

Movement: The act of changing physical position

Each person has unique movement within themselves.  When you learn dance steps in a classroom you will look different than the person dancing next to you.  Our goal through teaching others is to recognize the potential in every kind of movement, and to help each dancer become comfortable with their personality in motion.

Our methods involve creating a fun and energized environment for students, encouraging inquisitive minds to think out loud, and keeping a keen eye on how movement is expressing itself.

We know dance can be confusing when you learn so many steps and rhythms at once.  Our purpose is to simplify this process for you.  We will help you realize how a taught dance step can be translated into your natural movements, until it feels as simple as walking.

You are your own peron, with your own motion and rhythm.  Intrinsic Movement is the term we use to define your potential in dance.
